Addisons is pleased to announce the promotion of one Special Counsel and two Senior Associates as of 1 July 2026.

Addisons has made four lawyer promotions this year, with these three senior lawyer promotions complemented by the promotion of new partner, Pavlos Stavropoulos.

Promotion to Special Counsel
Rachel White | Consumer & Competition Rachel White | Addisons | Australian Law Firm

Rachel has over 10 years’ experience as a competition and consumer lawyer. She has worked with clients across a range of industries, including food and beverage, agribusiness, consumer goods and electronics, technology and data supply, and motor vehicles. Rachel has worked in both an in-house capacity and as an external adviser, having completed two secondments with clients since joining Addisons in late 2013.
Promotion to Senior Associate
Dakota Scott | Environment & Planning

Dakota is an environment and planning lawyer with experience advising major developers, infrastructure proponents, landowners and corporate clients on complex planning approvals, compulsory acquisition, environmental regulation and strategic project delivery. She works closely with clients, consultants, government agencies and regulators to manage legal risk, resolve approval and compliance issues, and support the delivery of significant residential, infrastructure, energy and resources projects.
Simon Balales | Intellectual Property

Simon is an intellectual property lawyer who has worked on contentious and non-contentious matters in the areas of trade marks, patents, copyright and designs. Simon has appeared before the IP Australia trade marks office in trade mark opposition matters and the Federal Courts in Australia for various IP disputes. He also provides advice to clients with respect to global rollouts of brands and trade mark filings through the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) and other jurisdictions.
