Venture Capital & Startups

Addisons’ Venture Capital & Startups team advises startups and investors, supporting them to achieve their ambitions for their new business venture or investment.

Our startup clients come from a range of industries including technology, life sciences, agribusiness, health and retail. We work with many of them from formation, through their growth and operations to exit, assisting them with all their legal needs along the way.

Startup clients often struggle with business growing pains. They may be focused on fundraising, but they often also need broader guidance to establish solid foundations for their new venture. Our flexible support and bespoke advice scales to their needs, including advice on business structures, employment arrangements (including employee incentive plans), contracts or protecting intellectual property.

We also represent investors including venture capital funds, institutional and corporate investors and individuals in connection with investments in startups.

Our extensive local and international legal experience, as well as thorough understanding of venture capital and startup market practice and trends, ensures we can guide clients through the legal and commercial issues of establishing or investing in a startup.
