Jonathan’s experience in commercial property covers a wide range of transactions including acquisitions and disposals, put and call options, leasing, mortgages, easements and covenants, strata renewal and FIRB advice. He has acted for wide range of clients both inside and outside of the real estate business, including institutional investors, property developers, technology companies, publicans, private lenders, and an Australian University. His experiences include working on the property side of large M&A transactions. Jonathan has experience in transacting commercial, industrial, retail and residential property and he has experience working with property in States and Territories outside of NSW.
In the area of banking and finance, Jonathan has acted for lenders and borrowers in private lending space to fund the acquisition and construction of residential development projects.
Atlassian — advised on the implementation of a complex leasing structure for the client which saw the client take up over 20,000 sqm of office space.
Bega Cheese — advised on the sale of various properties in NSW, QLD, VIC, WA and SA including the Vegemite Factory in Port Melbourne.
LEDA Group — acted on the provision of acquisition and construction financing for several residential development sites in Sydney’s North West.
Macquarie University — acted on the retail leasing at the University’s Central Courtyard Precinct, which opened in 2021.
Merivale — acted on the acquisition of 10 freehold pub hotels, 3 venues, and 7 commercial buildings and provided liquor licence and gaming advice in respect of the gaming hotels.
