Brigid also has significant expertise in employment advisory, employment disputes, discrimination law and workplace investigations. She prides herself on being able to provide practical advice tailored to the size and needs of a business and works with clients across a broad range of industries including infrastructure, technology, FMCG, professional services and healthcare.
advised the organisation on numerous complaints of bullying, harassment and racial discrimination made against a senior executive officer, including advising the organisation on the related outcome of an independent investigation into the complaints and resulting disciplinary action taken.
advised on a complex workplace investigation relating to allegations of fraud and misconduct, and assisting the company to successfully resolve related stop bullying applications commenced by employees subject of those investigations in the Fair Work Commission.
prepared and delivered safety due diligence training for senior executives and advising on OFSC audits and safety governance policies.
advised on all aspects of WHS due diligence for officers and WHS compliance for project managers and engineering design.
advised on a range of safety compliance matters and reviewing workplace policies to ensure legislative compliance.
advised on a regulatory investigation arising from allegations of non-compliance with Australian Standards and a resulting product recall, including successfully assisting the company in negotiating with the safety regulator to take no formal enforcement action.
advised a manufacturing company following a workplace fatality and resulting regulatory investigation.
advised on a broad range of employment matters including advising on a workplace investigation into a complaint of disability discrimination and related litigation in the Fair Work Commission, resulting in the employee discontinuing the claim.
advised the company in relation to numerous employee complaints about sexual harassment in the workplace and the related workplace investigation.
