Robert has practised for more than 15 years in Australia and South Korea in corporate and commercial law, focusing on private mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, corporate governance and commercial agreements. Robert has also worked extensively in Australian water law and abroad on energy projects and transactions including solar, wind and LNG.

Robert has acted for European, U.S. and Asia-based strategic and financial investors in a range of industries and sectors, including acquisitions, joint ventures and investments in Korea as well as energy projects and transactions.

Robert’s experience in the water sector in Australia includes acting for most of the major NSW-based private irrigation supply networks, as well as government-funded and privately-funded infrastructure programs like the Australian Government’s Private Irrigation Infrastructure Operators Program.

Robert was with Norton Rose Fulbright for eight years before joining Addisons in 2015. He rejoined Addisons in 2023 after six years in Korea with top tier Korean firm Bae, Kim & Lee.

Ashley Services Group — acted on various acquisitions of training and education businesses and acted on IPO.

Delivery Hero’s acquisition and joint venture with Woowa Bros. (Korea) — acted for Delivery Hero on its US$4 billion acquisition of a majority stake in Korea’s food delivery business, Woowa Bros. (known as Baemin), and establishment of regional joint venture based in Singapore, as well as post-merger integration.

Exchange Minerals Group — advised on a number of complex cross-border strategic acquisitions and disposals of mining tenements and other related interests in Greenland, Austria and Western Australia.

Sale of Yogiyo — acted for Delivery Hero on the sale of Korea's second-largest food delivery platform Yogiyo to a consortium of GS Retail Co., Affinity Equity Partners and British investment firm Permira for KRW 800 billion (US$684 million).

Sanger Australia — advised on the merger with Bindaree Beef.

Iberdrola — advised on South Korean market entry and investment in and development of renewables projects, and the new private PPA regime in South Korea and collaboration with Amazon.

Macquarie Capital — advised on LNG MOU and SPA relating to Ulsan import terminal.

Ørsted — advised on South Korean market entry, local stakeholder agreements, regulations and procedures for development of wind power projects in Korea.

Vestas — advice on acquisition of wind projects and turbine supply.

Coleambally Irrigation Co-operative — advised on a range of corporate and commercial matters, including reviewing and advising on the rules of the co-operative for compliance with Commonwealth water laws and other matters, advising on distributions to customer-members, advising on protecting the interests of the co-operative when entitlements are transferred.

Murray Irrigation — carried out a complete re-write of the constitution, customer contracts and a suite of policy documents with respect to water ordering, drainage, pricing, construction and development, water trading and privacy.

Murrumbidgee Irrigation — carried out a complete re-write of the constitution, customer contracts and a suite of policy documents with respect to water ordering, drainage, pricing, construction and development, water trading and privacy, while also being seconded to head office over three months.
