This week Addisons announced eight internal promotions, including one Partner, four Special Counsel and three Senior Associates across the firm.
Dr. Angelika Yates, has been promoted to Partner. Dually qualified in German and Australian law, Angelika is in a unique position to advise European companies on their investments and business activities in Australia. She has been combining Australian and German perspectives to multinational clients with a clear understanding of the legal and commercial implications of their cross-border activities during her four years at Addisons. Angelika was formerly a Partner of German law firm Luther.
Geri du Plessis, Cate Sendall, Belle Jing and Pauline Adraskelas have been promoted to Special Counsel. This is a recognition of the long standing expertise in specialist areas of law that each of them provide to our clients. Chuanchan (CC) Ma, Portia Malinowski and Jonathan Du have also been appointed Senior Associates of the firm.

These changes bring the firm’s female representation to 58% across the firm, (38% of Partners, 70% of Special Counsel and 64% of Senior Associates). Addisons does not have a quota system in place and has built gender equity in the ordinary course through the firm’s commitment to recruiting and retaining the best lawyers.
