Addisons has a fantastic permanent, full-time position available for a Solicitor to join our successful Commercial Litigation & Dispute Resolution, and Insolvency & Restructuring team.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment alongside experienced senior lawyers, managing a broad range of corporate and commercial matters. As a motivated and detail-oriented professional, you will handle a variety of disputes, including contract and commercial disputes, shareholder disputes, and claims involving deceased estates. You will also work on formal insolvencies, including voluntary administrations and liquidations, as well as advisory and restructuring matters. Our clients operate across diverse sectors, including property & construction, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, IT, professional services, and financial services.

Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct thorough legal research on case-specific issues and relevant legislation.
- Engage with clients and counsel on a daily basis, including conducting client conferences.
- Draft and prepare court documents, affidavits, and legal submissions, including legal advice, pleadings, and written evidence for court.
- Manage cases under the guidance and supervision of senior lawyers, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
- Appearing in courts and tribunals (where required).
To be considered for the role, you will have:
- Admission to practice in NSW.
- 5-7 years’ post-admission experience in general disputes, commercial litigation, or insolvency.
- An excellent academic record.
- Strong technical, drafting, and research skills.
- Sound knowledge of New South Wales court practice and procedures.
- The ability to meet strict deadlines while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
- A client-focused approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An enthusiastic, positive, and collaborative attitude.
