Addisons is seeking a Senior Associate on a full time, permanent basis to join its leading and growing Property practice. The practice has been recognised by Doyle’s Guide 2024 in the Leading Property & Real Estate Law Firm category for NSW.
You will provide high-quality, commercially focused legal advice and work on mainstream commercial property transactions (acquisitions and disposals), including in conjunction with business/asset transactions collaborating with other practice areas (including Mergers & Acquisition, Construction and Environment and Planning teams), across a variety of industries from the pub/hotel industry to the industrial and agricultural industry. You will also be advising and acting on leasing transactions acting for landlord and tenant across the retail, industrial and commercial sectors.
You will gain invaluable experience and by working alongside highly skilled Partners and experienced senior lawyers on a diverse and complex range of commercial real estate transactions and advising a broad range of clients from SFOs, to large corporates to Government.

- Draft, review and negotiate property agreements for commercial, agricultural and (as needed) residential contracts
- Conduct due diligence for property acquisitions and sales
- Advise clients on legal aspects of commercial real estate transactions
- Draft, review and negotiate leases and other related documentation for commercial, industrial and retail sectors
- Advise clients on legal aspects of leasing transactions including lease structuring and advising on lease disputes
- Liaise with clients and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of property transactions
- Mentor and support the growth of more junior members of the team
- 4+ years’ post qualification experience in commercial property gained within a top-tier firm, mid-tier firm or by a combination of private practice and in-house
- A strong understanding of property law, conveyancing, and lease agreements across commercial, residential, and rural sectors
- A demonstrated ability to manage matters from instruction to successful completion
