Addisons currently has an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated Compliance Assistant to work with our Gaming & Gambling Law and Corporate teams.
In the Gaming & Gambling team, you will work closely with a highly respected partner in a collaborative and supportive learning environment. You will assist clients in navigating regulatory requirements, including licensing obligations under various Australian and international laws, and liaise with clients to gather the necessary information and documentation for submissions to regulatory bodies globally. This is a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, highly regulated industry.
In addition, you will provide support to our Corporate team, helping oversee and monitor clients’ corporate filing and reporting obligations. You will assist clients in meeting statutory requirements under the Corporations Act and other relevant laws, and support the formation and ongoing maintenance of companies, including handling all registration requirements and ASIC filings for Australian subsidiaries of international clients.
This role also offers opportunities to contribute to ad-hoc projects, including regulatory submissions and occasional Court filings, giving you exposure to a variety of legal and compliance matters.
This role is ideal for a Risk Assistant, Senior PA, Paralegal, or Legal Assistant who thrives on administration, coordination, and supporting teams with attention to detail. With varied responsibilities spanning administration, client interaction, compliance, and partner support, it’s an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and grow with Addisons. Experience in a similar role; ideally within a law firm; is preferred, though candidates from finance, accounting, or other professional services, including in-house roles, are also welcome.
- Assist clients in meeting probity and licensing requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Ensure all regulatory obligations are met, liaising proactively with internal teams and external stakeholders as needed.
- Provide company compliance and governance support, including maintaining client registers and managing corporate records.

- Ensure that all matters relating to the effective and efficient operation of the boards and committees and regulatory investigations are attended to in a proactive and diligent manner.
- Draft board resolutions and corporate documents to facilitate board or shareholder changes and decisions.
- Providing confidential and prompt administrative support and assistance.
- Tertiary qualifications in business administration or other business-related discipline
- Awareness of company secretarial obligations and responsibilities
- Understanding of requirements to ensure compliance by companies and senior executives with filing and licensing obligations (particularly in highly regulated sectors), which may have involved having performed a compliance role responsible for meeting those requirements
