Marketing & Business Development Manager

Addisons is seeking a motivated and creative Marketing & Business Development Manager to join a team co-ordinating the firm’s marketing, business development, and client relationship activities. The Marketing & Business Development Manager will work under the direction of the Managing Partner, the Lead Partner for Clients & Growth and the Chief Operating Officer.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Work collaboratively and transparently across the firm and contribute to the delivery of strategic and BAU initiatives.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to enhance firm positioning, key branding messages and business development priorities at firm, group, and individual levels.
  • Assist Partners to identify strategies and opportunities for expanding existing relationships with significant and promising growth clients.
  • Support and coach partners and lawyers through tenders, proposals and client presentations, ensuring brand consistency, quality and client focus.
  • Develop and deliver marketing campaigns and client events.
  • Design and maintain business development infrastructure including capability materials, content libraries and systems that support efficiency and visibility of activity.
  • Maintain the firm’s website through publication of regular insights and profile updates
  • Implement the firm’s media (traditional and digital) strategy.
  • Support sponsorships and industry relationships, ensuring strategic alignment, activation and measurable return on investment.
  • Support sector teams to share insights, ensure alignment and contribute to firm-wide initiatives that drive consistency and impact.
  • Model leadership and accountability, managing daily workflow.
  • Oversee rankings and recognition initiatives, including legal directory, league tables and award submissions.
  • Track, analyse and evaluate results of marketing and BD initiatives, recommending strategies and solutions to increase the overall effectiveness, and ROI of future initiatives.
To be considered for the role, you will have:
  • Minimum 5 years’ B2B Marketing/Business Development experience in the professional services sector
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • High level of proficiency with Canva, Hubspot and WordPress
  • Familiarity with Adobe creative suite experience is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of the benefits and limitations of social media and digital platforms, including AI
  • Record of successful delivery of marketing plans, initiatives, proposals and events
  • Versatility in producing tailored, quality communication fit for purpose
  • Record of developing creative and innovative solutions in response to business needs
  • Calm disposition and a common-sense approach to dealing with different personalities and competing demands
  • Pragmatic and commercial outlook to deliver outcomes that support both the practices of individual partners and the firm’s overall brand and marketing position
  • Proactive and strong work ethic, and a focus on collaboration to achieve outcomes
  • A willingness to be actively involved in day-to-day activities alongside fulfilling strategic objectives
  • Demonstrated experience of building strong client relationships
