Addisons’ Planning, Development and Infrastructure team is known for delivering strategic advice on development issues for a range of clients from institutional developers to Government departments.

We assist clients with precinct – and place-making development including development consents, planning proposals, development certification, characterisation and permissibility. We work on projects across a range of industries including retail, commercial, industrial, education, residential and tourism. Our advice covers all planning pathways from exempt and complying development to State Significant Development (SSD), State Significant Infrastructure (SSI) and critical SSI, transitional part 3A projects, Part 5 environmental impact assessment including review of environmental factors (REF) and environmental impact statements (EIS).

We advise on all aspects of planning law, including physical commencement, existing use rights and continuing use rights and intensification of those uses, development contributions and planning agreements.

Lendlease

advised Lendlease on the procurement of all necessary planning approvals for the redevelopment of the Barangaroo site, including the concept plan, major project and state significant development approvals, as well as numerous modifications to those approvals.

Mirvac

advised on the planning proposal and planning agreement for 505 George Street Sydney, which at the time was the tallest residential tower in the Sydney CBD. Also advised on developments in Sydney at 200 George Street, 55 Pitt Street, 275 Kent Street, Australian Technology Park and West Pennant Hills.

Payce Consolidated/Sekisui House

negotiated and drafted the local and state voluntary planning agreements for Melrose Park North. The contributions included road works and dedication, land for a school, affordable housing, smart cities contribution and parkland.
