Addisons is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our finance team on a full-time basis. Accounts Payable
- Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable processes
- Invoice processing – general creditors, client disbursements, staff reimbursements, corporate credit cards
- Prepare and execute payment runs
- Administer corporate credit cards and petty cash
- Liaise with suppliers and service providers to resolve queries and issues.
Payroll
- Manage end-to-end payroll and payment processing for approximately 100 employees
- Produce end of month payroll reports including leave liability, superannuation and tax deductions
- Prepare monthly Payroll Tax, PAYG and superannuation returns in accordance with lodgement requirements
- Undertake end of year reporting and system rollover
- Process monthly and quarterly Draws and Distributions
General Accounting
- Assist with daily cash receipt processing
- Prepare and complete bank reconciliations
- Assist with BAS, GST, FBT, and other tax compliance requirements
- Assist with month-end financial close including journal preparation and processing, reconciliations and management reporting
- Assist with year-end financial reporting requirements
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to maintain accurate financial records
- Provide support on ad hoc projects and reporting as required.
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- CPA or CA qualified, or actively working towards certification
- 2-4 years’ accounting experience, preferably in a professional services or legal environment, with exposure to a range of financial processes
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, financial reporting, payroll legislation, and compliance requirements
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (Aderant Expert or similar legal practice management software desirable)
