Addisons is seeking an experienced and dedicated Personal Assistant to provide a high standard of administrative and secretarial support to two Corporate Partners, their team of lawyers and their growing practice.
The team advises on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, competition and consumer law, and general advisory work. The team work on high-profile matters for prestigious Australian and international clients; many of whom are long-standing clients.

As a Personal Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the efficient operation of the team by managing day-to-day administrative tasks, allowing our lawyers to focus on delivering high-quality legal work. You’ll be exposed to a diverse mix of tasks and industries while contributing to a collaborative team that values excellence, initiative, and ongoing professional development.
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, organised, and thrives in a dynamic environment. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure a smooth onboarding experience and help you become a valued member of our close-knit team. After an initial settling-in period, there is flexibility to work from home up to two days per week.

- Administrative support – provide a high standard of administrative support to the corporate team, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings and conferences, and travel arrangements as required
- Document management and word processing – draft, format and amend legal documents, prepare and format presentations to clients, ensuring proper filing and maintenance of client files and records, both electronic and physical
- Financial & matter management – timesheet entries/modification, opening and closing electronic files, preparing bills, loading and managing invoices via e-billing databases and preparing reports as required by clients
- Expense management – track and submit corporate expense reports
- Communication management – respond to incoming calls, emails, and other correspondence; draft and prepare correspondence and reports as required
- General office administration – organising files, printing and photocopying, streamlining administrative processes, archiving, ensuring the corporate team has everything needed to operate effectively.
- At least five years’ experience in a legal secretary, personal assistant, or similar legal administrative role, ideally within a legal or professional services environment
- A Certificate IV in Business Administration or a similar discipline
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with legal systems such as iManage and Aderant is highly regarded
- A solid understanding of the monthly billing cycle within a legal environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset and be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- High levels of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
