Brandon assists clients on all manner of issues, contentious and non-contentious, relating to the employment relationship and the workplace.

Brandon provides clients with both general and strategic employment advice relating to the management and termination of employees, workplace investigations and work health and safety matters. He assists clients in understanding their obligations under the relevant legislation and industrial instruments and prepares and revises all employment-related documentation on their behalf.

Brandon works with the Litigation team at Addisons, in which he helps clients conduct matters in both State and Federal Courts and Tribunals (including but not limited to unfair dismissal and general protections matters, commercial disputes, intellectual property disputes, and restraint of trade and breach of confidence matters).

Brandon also supports Addisons’ Corporate team by completing employment-related due diligence in respect of mergers and acquisitions and other commercial transactions.

Employment Litigation

assisted clients in the conduct and defence of unfair dismissal claims, general protections claims, stop-bulling claims and similar applications brought in the Fair Work Commission and the Federal Court of Australia.

Employment Related Documentation

prepared and revised all kinds of employment-related documentation, including employment agreements and independent contractor agreements, performance management and termination materials, employee handbooks and workplace policies, on behalf of a broad range of clients from various industries. Such clients include Volkswagen, Audi, Ducati, Breitling, Facebook, Snapchat, bet365, Kinrise, Isagenix and NVIDIA.

Regulatory Investigations

assisted clients in relation to investigations commenced by the Fair Work Ombudsman, SafeWork NSW and other regulatory bodies.

Restraints of Trade and Breach of Confidence

advised clients in relation to the drafting and enforceability of restraints of trade and acted for clients in the enforcement of these restraints and in respect of claims relating to breaches of confidence.

Workplace Investigations

conducted workplace investigations on behalf of clients in respect various kinds of complaints including those relating to bullying, discrimination, harassment, fraud and the misappropriation of funds.
