I work closely with clients to provide practical legal advice that is useful.
The combination of working as an in-house counsel and as a lawyer in private practice has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the needs and objectives of my clients. The emphasis of my practice methodology is to first develop a thorough and deep understanding of the clients’ businesses so that my advice to them is pragmatic, commercially focussed and geared towards assisting in achieving business objectives.
My experience spans commercial negotiations, advertising/marketing campaigns and consumer law and compliance matters such as privacy and data breaches, whistleblowing and product recall.
Recalls — worked with clients to ensure that the safety of consumers is paramount, the impact of any recall action is minimised and the recall is conducted strictly in accordance with the legal requirements.
Sale of business — assisting a client with the sale of part of its business. This involved the complex unwinding of all agreements, business processes and functions that were related to the business, including all technology systems that ran the business.
Setting up an online ‘marketplace’ — assisted a client to set up a new online marketplace where both local and international vendors could sell a variety of products directly to the Australian public.
