Chambers Global Practice Guide – Gaming Law 2020

Addisons was pleased to contribute to the Australian chapter to this year’s Chambers Global Practice Guide – Gaming Law, published by Chambers and Partners.

COVID-19 has had a material effect on the Australian gambling sector. Both online and land-based segments have been impacted negatively by the pandemic (and the community measures introduced to combat the pandemic).

This guide addresses the varied changes and impacts from COVID-19 as well as recent changes which include the Crown Inquiry, New Zealand’s review of its regulatory framework, the delayed implementation of the National Consumer Protection Framework (NCPF) and the Australian Sports Wagering Scheme (ASWS).

Authors, Jamie Nettleton, and Samuel Gauci hope you find it useful and encourage you to contact us if further information is required relating to the Australian legal position.
