Addisons’ strong history of female representation has been acknowledged by The Australian Partnership Survey for the first time this year. We are proud to share our consistent success in this area, as demonstrated through our female representation rate of 54% amongst all lawyers, and 34.78% amongst partners as at 31 December 2019.
Addisons’ gender equity and diversity has been achieved through a commitment to recruiting and retaining the best lawyers. Rather than implementing a quota system, we seek out talented and like-minded professionals committed to the long-term needs of our clients. This approach has resulted in the organic growth of a diverse group of experts who work together to ensure all our clients’ needs are seamlessly managed.
While we are proud to have been acknowledged in the Survey this year, it is important to note that gender equity is not new to Addisons. In 2018 our female partnership rate was 35% and in 2017 it was 29.41%. We look forward to even greater female partnership representation in the future as we expand our mission of delivering commercially sound legal solutions that help drive the ongoing business success of our Australian and international clients.
In 2019, Addisons welcomed three new partners, internally promoting Dr. Angelika Yates and externally hiring Steven Spyros and Doron Rivlin. Our partners are at the forefront of every engagement, interacting directly with our clients and supported by our lawyers to ensure that each client experiences the ultimate level of accountability and service.
